DeWitt, NY -- A section of the town of DeWitt is experiencing a power outage at this hour, Onondaga County 911 says.
The outage area is roughly from Lyndon Corners to Towne Center and traffic lights along East Genesee Street and Highbridge Road are not functioning. This includes the lights at Lyndon Corners.
Drivers should follow rules for stopping at intersections with malfunctioning lights, the 911 Center advises.
National Grid is aware of the power outage and is attempting to isolate the cause, 911 says. Approximately 2,100 Onondaga County electrical customers are without power and National Grid estimates that they will be back online by 6 p.m.
People should not report the outage to the 911 center.
