Syracuse, NY - A Syracuse teenager shot at multiple times this morning is in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital, city police said.

Tymauri Mobley, 17, was struck at least once at 1:02 a.m. in front of 1809 E. Fayette St., Syracuse police Sgt. Thomas Connellan said.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses, Connellan said. Anyone with information can call Syracuse police at (315) 442-5222.

Police also responded to three calls for shots fired early this morning.

• About 12:33 a.m. today, police were called to 415 Cannon St. after multiple shots were fired, Connellan said. When Officer David Demand arrived, he saw a man running from the scene. Demand ran after the suspect, who tossed something on the ground during the chase.

The suspect, Jerel Whigfall, 33, of 327 Grant Ave., had a handgun holster -- but no gun -- on him after a short foot case, Connellan said. He said officers searched the area and found a handgun that Whigfall had thrown onto the ground.

Police said the handgun had been reported stolen.

Whigfall was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and four-degree criminal possession of a stolen property.

Syracuse police are trying to determine whether Whigfall was the person who fired multiple shots on Cannon Street.

• About two hours later, at 2:35 a.m., police were dispatched to a shots fired call at 148 W. Brighton Ave. When officers arrived, they found Keith Robinson had been cut on the chest. His injuries are not life threatening, police said. Robinson was not cooperative and police do not know who cut him. Witnesses told police they saw a man fire two shots from a shotgun. Two 12-gage shotgun casing were found at the scene, Connellan said. Police are continuing to investigate.

• At 4:21 a.m., police were sent to 713 Otisco St. for a shots fired complaint. Witnesses told officers they saw a man shooting at a sport utility vehicle, which sped off. The suspect then ran away. Police found shell casings in front of 713 Otisco St., Connellan said. Police are investigating.
