Fulton, NY -- A Fulton man armed with a baseball bat, who telephoned another man and threatened to come over and “smash his face in,” was arrested Friday as he stood in Utica Street after he was found making a disturbance outside the second man’s home, Fulton police said.
Murray D. Abrams Jr., 29, of Utica Street, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and menacing, aggravated harassment, criminal possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors. He also was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Police were called at 12:38 p.m. to 610 Utica St. for a trespass in progress, police said. Minutes after the phone call asking for police, Abrams approached the man in front of his home and threatened to hit him with the bat, police said.
Police found hydrocodone and marijuana on Abrams, police said.
