Cato resident faces charges following domestic incident

Cato, NY -- A Cato man is facing several misdemeanors following his arrest today after a domestic incident in Cato, state police said.

Joseph Caughill, 30, of 2539 E. Main St., Apt. 3, was charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

Caughill was arraigned in Mentz Town Court and ordered held in Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail or $3,000 bond.

Troopers were assisted on the scene by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
