Tonight's screening of the documentary movie "Gasland," which details the hazards of using hydraulic fracturing or hydrofracking to release natural gas from Marcellus shale, has been moved from Thornden Park to Hearg Auditorium in Newhouse III on the Syracuse University campus.
The event will start at 6:30 p.m. with music by Summer People and Run-on Sentence. Speakers included Senator David Valesky, Jeanne Shenandoah of the Onondaga Nation, Andrew Maxwell of the city of Syracuse, and "Gasland" director Josh Fox.
The film begins at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
