Syracuse, NY -- A 19-year-old Syracuse man is charged with two felonies in the July shooting of a 15-year-old boy, Syracuse police said.
Synike White, 19, of 431 Westmoreland Ave., Apartment 1, was charged Wednesday with assault and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.
Joshua Stanley was wounded in the inner right knee in the shooting, which occurred about 8:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of East Fayette Street, police said.
Stanley told police he got into an argument with a man in the King Solomon Market, 2002 E. Fayette St. After Stanley left the market, he heard shots and tried to run, but discovered he had been shot, Stanley told police.
Police investigating the shooting developed White as the suspect through witnesses and evidence at the scene, police said.
