Oswego, NY -- An Oswego man faces multiple charges after he restrained and struck a woman several times early Sunday morning, police said.Oswego police arrested Michael J. Burger, 21, of 80 East 6th St., after a woman reported around 9 a.m. Sunday that he had assaulted her about six hours earlier.
Investigators said Burger restrained the woman after illegally entering the home of third person. Police said the crime then continued at Burger's home, where he again restrained the woman and struck her multiple times with "an unknown object."
The beating caused "bruises, swelling and substantial pain," police said.
Burger was arrested Sunday and arraigned Monday on felony charges of first-degree unlawful Imprisonment, second-degree assault and second-degree burglary as well as a misdemeanor charge of second-degree unlawful Imprisonment and a violation charge of harassment.
Burger was taken to Oswego County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
He's due back in court Thursday.
