Syracuse, NY -- Power was restored to the AXA Equitable Towers shortly before 1 p.m. today, a National Grid spokeswoman said.
Power was cut to the towers after a series of explosions in an underground utility vault Sunday night.
Crews had hoped to have power back on by noon, but work took slightly longer than expected. After the repairs are complete, the city electrician will have to inspect the work before power is turned back on, said spokeswoman Courtney Quatrino.
