Trooper Gregory Schmitter Saturday investigated a report of a golf cart stolen from a golf course on Tollgate Hill Road. Schmitter discovered that the cart was driven by Todd P. Ranke, 43, of 21 Buddy Drive from the course to his home.
Since the cart is owned by Ranke's family, there was no theft, Schmitter determined. The trooper, however, charged Ranke with driving while intoxicated. Because Ranke had prior arrests, he was charged with felony DWI. He will appear in Locke Town Court on Sept. 15.
