Van Buren, NY – A Rochester woman stopped late Monday for a seatbelt violation at Thruway Exit 39 was accused of driving drunk with six children in her car.
Lisa A. Trybus, 41, of 30 Chi-Mar Drive, Rochester, was charged with six counts of violating Leandra’s Law, state police said. She was found to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 while she had six children under 16 in her vehicle, troopers said.
Trybus was charged with six felony counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, plus misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated – first offense and driving with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 – first offense, troopers said.
She was arraigned in Geddes town court and ordered held at the Justice Center Jail on bail of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond pending a court appearance. She is out of custody, state records show.
