Tully, NY – Officials are investigating a fire that damaged a home this morning at 1251 North Road in the town of Tully.
Firefighters arriving at the two-story wood-frame home shortly after 12:25 a.m. found flames coming out a bedroom window and two residents and their dog already outside, Tully Firefighter Tom Gallagher said.
It took about a half-hour to bring the blaze under control, Gallagher said. Fire damage largely was confined to the bedroom where the fire appeared to have started, but the second floor also sustained smoke and water damage, he said.
No one was hurt escaping or fighting the fire, Gallagher said. The Red Cross arrived to help the residents, he said.
Tully, LaFayette, Apulia and Otisco firefighters responded and Preble stood by, he said.
