Cortlandville, NY – A car crash involving a Cortland County Sheriff’s officer and a civilian vehicle is under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
The accident took place about 1 p.m. Monday at Route 13 and Lime Hollow Road, Cortlandville, between a sheriff’s patrol car and a 2004 Nissan operated by Lisa Wormuth, a Cortland resident, sheriff’s officials said.
The officer, whom officials did not identify, was taken to Cortland Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released, officials said. No other injuries were reported. Both cars had to be towed from the scene.
No tickets had been issued as of Monday evening, officials said.
