Syracuse, NY -- Justin Bieber's concert at the state fair Sunday has been postponed until Wednesday, according to the New York State Fair.

The change was blamed on an unspecified illness and due to doctor's orders. He performed Saturday night at the Prudential Center in Newark.

Fair Director Dan O'Hara said the fair received a call from its concert booking agent after 11 p.m. Saturday. Bieber was exhausted from his tour, O'Hara said he was told.

The postponement was announced today on the state fair's Web site.

The tickets sold for Sunday will be honored Wednesday, according to the announcement, and tickets can be returned for a refund before Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Syracuse Chiefs are offering free admission to tonight's 5 p.m. game against Lehigh Valley to any fan holding a Bieber grandstand ticket.

Today's concert ticket will not get you into the fair today and Wednesday, fair officials said. A concert ticket is good for only one free admission into the fair, they said.

The news was bad for Bieber fans in New Hampshire, too.

Promoters needed to claim an open date at the fair Grandstand. On Wednesday, Bieber was set to play the Verizon Wireless Arena show in Manchester, N.H. That show was moved to Dec. 9.

Bieber kept a Tuesday date at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Loyal fans could see trouble brewing.

His Twitter feed foretold his growing fatigue: "next is Jersey, then Syracuse, then MSG in NYC for the 3D movie!! Been super sick lately but u guys are carrying me. thank u for the love," was the message early Saturday.

And: "thanks 4 the kind wishes. Im tough. Im Canadian. Love yall"

Earlier Saturday, the fair spread the word about 200 additional tickets made available for the previously sold-out show.

Those tickets sold quickly Sunday. Other tickets may become available if they are returned for a refund before Wednesday.

Bieber, with Sean Kingston and Jessica Jarrell, had been scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Sunday.
