Syracuse, NY — A man was shot Thursday night in Syracuse, police said.
Around 8:20 police were called to a report of shots being fired at the intersection of Tallman and Rich streets. Moments later, they were told that a male with a gunshot wound had arrived at Upstate University Hospital.
Police are not releasing the name of the shooting victim, but did say he was hit in the leg and his wound is not life-threatening.
The victim told police he was walking when he heard shots and was hit struck by a bullet.
Police ask that anyone with information on the shooting call the criminal investigations division as 442-5222.
