Syracuse, NY -- A pizza deliveryman was robbed of cash tonight and Syracuse police are looking for the robber at this hour.
The robbery took place at 10:25 p.m. in the 600 block of Rowland Street, Sgt. Gary Bulinski said. The deliveryman was taking an order to 606 Rowland St., an abandoned house, Bulinski said. When the deliveryman got out of his car, a male believed to be about 16 years old ran out of the back yard, displayed a handgun and made off with an unknown amount of cash, Bulinski said.
After taking the money, the assailant ran west towards Hoefler Street. The assailant was described as a black male about 16 years old. He is 6 feet 2 inches and was wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans, Bulinski said.
Anyone with any information on the robber is asked to call Syracuse police at 442-5222.
