Syracuse, NY -- An incident occurred Saturday afternoon that was captured on security cameras at The Post-Standard building and left the building’s security guards scratching their heads.
It began about 3 p.m. when a man got into the car of a woman waiting for a light at the corner of Herald Place and North Clinton Street. The car turned onto Herald Place and then south on North Salina before the car turned into the newspaper’s guest parking lot.
The lot does not allow cars to leave unless a guard opens the gate. When the car turned into the lot, the passenger-side door opened and the man sprinted across the lot to North Clinton Street before disappearing.
Security guards at the paper called 911 but before police arrived the woman left.
