Cicero, NY -- A Tioga County man is charged with stealing $1,169 in narcotics and other pills during a nighttime burglary at the Kinney Drugs store in Bridgeport, according to Cicero Police.
Dominick Tassone III, 39, of 729 Dean Creek Road, Spencer, was charged with felony
burglary and grand larceny, as well as misdemeanor criminal mischief, said Investigator Jim Meyers.
He turned himself in last week in connection with the Aug. 11 burglary, Meyers said.
Around 2 a.m., police said he climbed on top of an ice machine and broke a window, climbing into the store. He entered the pharmacy and took about 450 pills, stuffing them into his pockets before leaving through the store's back door.
The burglary was caught on surveillance cameras at the Route 31 store.
Meyers said Tassone claimed he sold all of the pills.
After his arrest, he was sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center jail, with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond, Meyers said.
