Boonville, NY – A Boonville man was charged Tuesday with second-degree rape in connection with an incident earlier this month involving a 14-year-old girl, state police said.
Kyle J. Vandresar, 19, of 317 Post St., was arraigned in Boonville Town Court and ordered held at the Lewis County Jail on $2,500 bail pending a future court appearance, troopers said. Vandresar was in custody at the Lewis County Jail on an unrelated charge when he was arrested on this charge, troopers said.
The rape allegation was based on the victim’s age, troopers said.
