Manlius, NY – Manlius police continue to investigate an accident that sent a motorcycle driver and his passenger to the hospital Tuesday.
According to witnesses, a 2003 Ford sport-utility vehicle being driven by Catherine Lord, 32, North Syracuse, was turning left from Fremont Road onto East Taft Road about 6:18 p.m. It was struck by a motorcycle being driven east on East Taft by Matthew Rewkowski, 22, of Syracuse, said Manlius Police Sgt. Kevin Schafer.
Rewkowski and his passenger, Elizabeth Minelli, 21, no address available, were thrown from the motorcycle, Schafer said. They were taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both were wearing helmets, he said.
Lord was not injured, Schafer said.
No tickets have been issued pending the outcome of the investigation, Schafer said.
