Syracuse, NY -- No one was injured tonight after a vacant house caught fire briefly on Syracuse's Near West Side.
Firefighters responded to 173-75 Grace St., engulfed in flames, about 8 p.m. and ripped off the boarded up windows and doors to extinguish the blaze, which likely started on the first floor, said District Chief Kent Young.
The house, near the corner with Massena Street, is owned by Davis Street Realty LLC and was built around 1920, according to property records. It has been vacant since 2005, according to city records.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
