Fulton, NY - A Syracuse woman was killed Saturday night after the car she was riding in went off state Route 48 in the Oswego County town of Granby and overturned, state police said.
Brianna L. Paice, 21, of 12 Henderson Boulevard, was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
The driver of the car, Brad T. Castellino, 29, was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora south on Route 48 about 11:05 p.m. Troopers say Castellino was driving at a high rate of speed while driving around a curve. The car went off the east side of the road, overturned and came to rest upside down off the east side of the highway, state police said.
Castellino was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for non-life threatening injuries.
State police are continuing to investigate.
