Syracuse, NY – A man was stabbed twice Tuesday night during a robbery behind a James Street medical office building, police said.
The victim, Amish Patel, was leaving from the back of the building about 10:30 p.m. when a man approached him and demanded his laptop computer, police said. Patel tried to fight off the suspect but was punched several times in the face and stabbed twice in the right torso, causing non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The suspect fled east on James Street, police said. He was described as being about 40 and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing jeans and a white T-shirt, police said.
