Hastings, NY - Volunteer firefighters from eight fire departments were called to a mobile home fire this morning, according to Oswego County 911.
The mobile home at 322 Cornell Road was for sale, and unoccupied when the fire started around 5:45 a.m., Hastings Fire Chief Neal Turo said.
Hastings, Brewerton, Central Square, Caughdenoy, Mexico, Palermo, Parish and West Monroe fire departments responded to the fire, which was just east of county Route 38, Turo said.
The fire, which started near an electrical outlet, destroyed the mobile home, the fire chief said.
"It's a total loss," Turo said.
The owner of the mobile home had recently moved to Onondaga County, Turo said. She was notified of the electrical fire and went to the scene this morning. The woman has homeowner's insurance, Turo said.
Firefighters cleared the scene around 8 a.m.
