Van Buren, NY -- Four young adults remained remained at Upstate University Hospital -- two in critical condition -- after a one-car crash Sunday evening in the Village Green subdivision in Van Buren, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Driver Robert D. Smallwood, 22, 7111 Van Buren Road, was airlifted from the scene and passenger Alexis Trapp, 18, was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where both were listed in critical condition. Passenger Kelly M. Nolan, 21, was in serious condition and passenger Brandon M. Hare, 19, was in fair condition this morning.
State police said they were riding in a 1997 Subaru that was travelling southwest on Village Bouevard North when the vehicle struck a tree on the east shoulder at 7:30 p.m.
