Syracuse, NY -- A procession remembering the 65th anniversary of the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki snaked through downtown Syracuse today.
The Hiroshima-Nagasaki Dramatic Procession began in the plaza next to Syracuse City Hall and ended in Columbus Circle
The procession remembered those killed and injured in the two atomic bomb blasts in Japan that brought World War II to an end and to work towards a world free of nuclear weapons and power, according to the Syracuse Peace Council, a co-sponsor of the event. The procession is also sponsored Peace Action CNY.
