Fulton, NY -- Another teen has been charged in the June burglary at Babcock Oil in Volney.
Oswego County Sheriff’s deputies said a 15-year-old male was arrested July 30 and charged with juvenile delinquency. If he was an adult, he would have been charged with burglary, a felony, and misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief, petit larceny and conspiracy.
Deputies said the teen participated in the burglary at Babcock Oil on county Route 57. Already charged in that burglary are Joseph Swatkowski, 16, and Jeremy W. Bailey, 22, both of Fulton.
Bailey was charged with burglary and conspiracy, both felonies, and misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal mischief and petit larceny in the Babcock Oil incident. Cigarettes and money were taken from Babcock Oil’s convenience store.
Bailey also is facing burglary charges for the June 29 break-in at the former Nestle plant in Fulton.
Bailey told Fulton police he turned to stealing to get money to feed his family. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child for the treatment of his 19-month-old daughter.
When Fulton police were investigating the Nestle burglary, they searched Bailey’s apartment and found the toddler living in filth and without food, toys or clothes.
