Salina, NY—A New York State Police road check Friday night to this morning on Onondaga Lake Parkway in Salina netted five suspects all accused of driving while intoxicated.
The check was set up between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. Here’s what police said happened.
Andrey Trunov, 37, of 1121 Grant Blvd., Syracuse, was accused of aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated. Police said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.2 percent when he was given a breathalyzer test.
Steven E. Schmidt, 49, of Evergreen Circle B-1, Clay, was accused of aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated. Police said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.25 percent when he was given a breathalyzer test.
Ephrain P. Cruz, 31, of 101 Wall St., Syracuse, was accused of driving while intoxicated. Police said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent when he was given a breathalyzer test.
Kevin E. Morton, 56, of 501 Academy Place, Syracuse, was accused of driving while intoxicated. State police said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.1 percent when he was given a breathalyzer test.
All were processed and released to reappear in the Town of Salina Court.
James P. Sweeney, 45, of 223 Leopold Blvd., Syracuse, was accused of driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation and refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was arraigned in the Town of Salina Court and released on $250 bail.
