Montezuma, NY -- A former Montezuma town judge admitted to stealing from his own court, state police said.
Christopher D. Ramos, 52, of High Street in Montezuma, was arrested Thursday morning on one charge of petit larceny and one charge of official misconduct.
Both charges, police said, stem from “the theft of money from the court while Ramos was the judge.”
Ramos was arraigned and pled guilty, police said, to both charges.
He’ll be sentenced in September.
