National Grid officials said they restored electricity to 1,800 customers in the Salina neighborhood about 6:40 a.m., about a half our after the power went out. The outage was caused by an animal the connected a wire and a transformer, said Patrick Stella, speaking for the utility.
Salina, NY – Some 490 National Grid customers in the Galeville section of Salina are without electricity, National Grid is reporting on its web site.
The affected customers should get their power restored about 8:45 a.m., utility officials estimate.
Three other outages in or near Galeville, each affecting fewer than five customers, also are listed on the web site. Those lights should come back on between 8:30 and 9 a.m., National Grid officials estimate.
