Cicero, NY -- A one-car crash just before 7 p.m. of a northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 at the Route 31 bridge injured one woman and tied up traffic heading south for about almost an hour, sheriff's deputies said.Clair Mireci, 21 of Chaumont, was traveling north on I-81 when her 2004 Ford Focus went across the media and three lanes of traffic before striking a guardrail, Sgt. John D'Eredita said. Mireci was ejected from her car there, but the car travels back across the three lanes before coming to a rest facing north in the median. Her car was the only car involved.
Mireci, who was the only occupant of the car, was taken by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital with injuries that are thought to not be life threatening, D'Eredita said.
Mireci was ticketed for failure to keep right and not wearing a seatbelt.
