Syracuse, NY -- A motorcyclist was injured on Interstate 690 this afternoon after his motorcycle struck a car that had slowed down in front of him, Sgt. Gary Bulinski said.
The motorcyclist, who police have yet to identify, was westbound about 2:30 p.m. on I-690 when he struck the back of a car near the Teall Avenue exit, Bulinski said. He was thrown from the motorcycle and broke both wrists and suffered a serious leg injury, Bulinski said. No one else was injured.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital.
Two lanes of westbound I-690 remain closed at this hour as the investigation continues.
