Syracuse, NY – Mother Nature has terrific weather in store for Central New York over Uncle Sam’s favorite weekend.
Daytime highs are expected to run from the mid to upper 70s today to the low- to mid-80s Saturday, the upper 80s on Independence Day and the high 80s to lower 90s on Monday, the National Weather Service forecasts for Onondaga and its four surrounding counties show.
Sunny skies should reign right through the long weekend, the weather service says.
Friday night should bring good sleeping weather, with lows in the low 50s in most spots and the upper 40s in some of Cortland County’s valleys. Nightly lows will climb to the low to mid 60s over Saturday and Sunday nights, and the high 60s to around 70 on Monday night.
Mostly to absolutely clear skies provide the backdrop to fireworks tonight, Saturday and Sunday nights. Look for partly cloudy skies on Monday night.
