Frederick, 51, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, both felonies.
Working on information from the Middle Road case, police searched an undisclosed location in the city of Oswego and found the cash.
More charges may be filed, said Capt. Tory DeCaire.
