Granby, NY – Oswego County fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire early this morning that destroyed a manufactured home at 237 Wilcox Road, Granby.
Firefighters arriving at the scene shortly after 2:11 a.m. found the single-wide home completely engulfed in flames but its occupants, two adults and a child, safe outside, said Second Assistant Chief Chris Lynch of the Cody Volunteer Fire Department. It took about 10 minutes to put out the fire but the building was a total loss, he said.
The Granby Center, Fulton, Volney and Phoenix fire departments and Menter Ambulance also responded.
No one was hurt fighting the blaze, he said. The Red Cross was called to assist the victims, whom Lynch declined to identify.
